comment AppFabric error while Set Caching Service configuration
@tugberk I'm not an IT Pro either, I'm a developer. I can point you at this blog entry I wrote when I was trying to make AppFabric work a couple of years ago - philpursglove.blogspot.com/2009/11/… - but I'm not sure how much help it'll be to you.

@tugberk Depends whether your single machine is joined to a domain or not. If it is then you can use the SQL provider, otherwise you'll need to continue with the XML provider.

Tried this, but when I select 'Bridged Adapter', I don't get a list of the hosts network adapters, I just get 'Not Selected' in the dropdown, and VirtualBox won't let me save it like this. Have I done something wrong in the initial configuration?

comment New Session Failed
One of our guys had a look at the server last night, he's come back with some things need to be done on it - disable screen saver, install Windows updates, install VMWare tools. Which I can see all need doing but I think it will still need more memory.

I've spotted some errors in the Application log from COM+ that seem to correspond with the approximate time of the IIS errors and talk about the server running very low on available memory. I've requested the server gets upgraded to 2Gb of memory minimum.

I'd have to go through the codebase and check but I don't think anything is using session state. I suspect memory may be the main culprit here.

Available virtual memory is 16Mb, physical is 17Mb.
