Yes, I was surprised too… I am actually used to phpinfo showing the switches, too. Dont know why thats not the case when on ubuntu.

I also thought that the compilation switches would be displayed in php info, but they arent. I restarted apache, but phpinfo still reports v 5.3

Thats a good hint, thanks! Will try it out tomorrow. The script I am executing is on a mounted drive (the server is a virtual machine on my development pc) – is that already mounted when the filesystem is ready? Thanks a lot for the note on the redirection arguments. :-)

Actually it´s just a regular php page doing some simple db operations when the form is submitted. It doesnt do anything resource intensive at all. Maybe the db server hanged? I dont know that, but as the website is currently in beta, there is almost no load at all on the servers. When the form is posted and everything went fine it just redirects the user to the previous page with an success message.
