@Dan: The system in question has a (large number) of third-parties who (a) wish to configure their own firewalls and other security systems using fixed IP targets alone and (b) cannot or will not set up a VPN. Therefore leading to this idea!

Hello Dan, thanks for the fast answer. I agree with you on the doubling of transfer costs and reduction in performance. I will not be able to use DNS, unfortunately. The scenario this is needed for is one in which third parties communicate with me over long periods of time to fixed IP addresses only.

Thanks, DigitalRoss. These last two look like they do forwarding of UDP only, rather than allowing rewrites of the payload. Is that so? What do you mean by "Simple UDP Proxy/Pipe". Pipe to a userland program?
