comment Preferred way to install Ruby/Rake for all users
+1/Accepted - Thanks voretaq7. I'm currently looking into chef, and it seems to be doing what I need. I appreciate the help and pointing me in the proper direction instead of giving me a solution that would lead me down a more painful path later :-)

Might want to ask this on StackOverflow, but it sounds like it might be a problem with special characters (color perhaps) as vi doesn't do any coloring (unless it's actually vim).

comment Easiest way to email file via command line in *nix?
+1 - This was perfect for what I need as it's easy and still actively being maintained! If you're on a Debian system, you can just aptitude install sendemail. Note that the command gets installed as sendEmail with a capital 'E'.

comment Debian Apache2 and SSL
It worked, I was correct about the two original files and the old key file worked when I renamed it, so I don't know if it was just never renamed or what. Anyway, thanks for your help!
