AFAIK, Sendmail can't be configured to use different tls client certs for different downstream mail connections. I'd suggest checking with Microsoft to see if they can elaborate on why they're rejecting the connection. Historically, I've seen them reject connections because the client cert is unverified (self-signed). If that's the case, purchasing an actual certificate may resolve the issue. Again though, I'd check with the recipient side first to get their perspective.
