Thanks for your reply gtirloni. Unfortunately during my re-attempt the iLO appeared to die - I think it might just be hung, but won't know more until Monday. Until then, do you think you could hypothesize some potential causes? For example, am I going to be looking at hardware incompatibility? Could the B120i storage controller be causing problems? What else could it be? The server has 4 Ethernet ports (3 in use), but no connection to the internet. I guess I'm just wondering if it could be a simple fix - for some reason I believe that will be unlikely.

Haha you're not going to like it. DL320e G8 v2. CentOs 6.5.

Thanks for the reply. I browsed through both of those links, and they say the same as my user documentation - i.e., activity ring spins when there is activity... however mine is spinning non-stop - and I don't think I can see any processes doing anything? Is this still normal?

Back USB2.0 ports continue to work during POST (after a few more restarts). While I'm ready to just accept this, do you have any theories?

While in RBSU plugs KB1 into another USB2.0 slot - doesn't work. Plugs into USB3.0 slot - works... Sorry! Not true, front USB2.0 ports didn't work. But back did.

KB1 works during POST. Boot OS and then halt. Start up again. KB1 no longer working during POST. Appears that whenever I use KB2 during POST, KB1 will work during POST the next start - but not after that... Do I want to 'System Default Options -> Restore Default System Settings'?

Everything up-to-date - nothing installed. Reboot.

Halt. Reconnect iLo & swap monitors. Start. KB1 not working. KB2 works - going to Intelligent Provisioning. Will return with results.
