@n0e Your supplied dcdiag output indicates to check DNS, DHCP, Server name and Firewall. Have you done that?

It might not hurt to mention which version you currently have. Also, do you have any network problems?

comment Windows Task Scheduler skips a scheduled interval
Anything in the "Conditions" or "Settings" tab of the scheduled task? Any chance you've Windows Updates configured to run during that time? You may want to look in the Event Viewer to see what else was going on.

I don't understand how this earned a down vote. The OP indicates it was the resolution to their problem.

comment Why does ESX require so many restarts?
Do you pay for Ksplice? Every kernel update means a reboot for my Linux boxes.

comment Declining superseded updates in WSUS
Very good question, especially considering the WSUS Server Cleanup will bulk decline superseded updates for you as well.

Please see the "Avoid overt self-promotion" section of the Help Center. If you're only here to link your project, it may not be well received.

comment Difference between HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Policies\ and HKLM:\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\
Keys/Values under "Policies" branches are managed by Group Policy. In most instances, the settings in a Policies key will take precedence. You shouldn't modify, by hand, anything under a Policies branch, but it does happen.

comment cmd /c behaves differently on server 2012
@red888 I believe TheCleaner is being a bit facetious. Your script works fine for me on Server 2012 R2. Are you doing Run as Administrator on the batch file? The Powershell equivalent is Stop-Computer.

You'll be so much happier with the AD module, I promise. :)

comment Get a csv/txt list of users using the “net group” command
You need Microsoft's Active Directory Powershell module. It's included in RSAT and Server 2008/2012.

No Powershell? Get-ADGroupMember "groupname" | Select name | Export-Csv -NoTypeInformation output.csv

Are any of the missing group memberships nested groups? Also, you won't see the Primary Group (usually Domain Users) from Get-ADUser.

comment CSVDE on Windows Server 2012
Can you verify if the binary is present? dir /s /b C:\*csvde.exe from a cmd prompt. Should be one in C:\Windows\System32 and C:\Windows\SysWOW64. If it's there, check ECHO %PATH%, your environment might be broken.

comment VMware Creating Windows Images through commandline
The creation of the VM object and the scripted install of Windows are two separate processes. You'll want to research "Windows unattended setup". Our deployments go: 1.) PowerCLI creates/configures VM objects and boots them, 2.) PXE catches initial boot, 3.) Unattended install deploys/configures OS over the network.
