comment How to remove a GPO setting that used a custom ADM
Are you saying the GPO's directory (e.g. \\<domain>\SYSVOL\<domain>\Policies\<GUID>\ADM) no longer contains the ADM files used to create the GPO?

comment nslookup shows wrong data
Are the client's DNS servers AD integrated? Does running the lookup against other DCs/DNS produce the same incorrect results? nslookup hostA dc1, nslookup hostA dns2, etc. Is DHCP dynamic DNS registration running? Is it working?

comment Protect foreach loop when empty list
+1 But with Powershell 3 (circa June 2012) the foreach statement no longer steps into $null, so the error described by OP no longer occurs. See the section "ForEach statement does not iterate over $null" in the Powershell Blog post New V3 Language Features.

comment Why can I not see a Computers GPO in my GPMC? How can I force a GP update without a Computers GPO?
The OP blurred the prefix on the "____ Users" OU, it is not named "Users" alone.

comment Allow access to a share on a workgroup using a user which is a part of a domain
The domain user needs to provide local credentials (non-domain) when connecting to the workgroup computer's share. The local credentials are defined on the workgroup computer which hosts the share.

comment Getting Rid of the Old/Worthless Data Center Equipment
We just call one of the local computer/electronic recyclers. They send out a truck and couple guys to haul it away. I've never had them refuse to take something, computers, network gear, CRT/LCDs, projects, etc.

comment Windows 2012 fonts gone. Only Wingdings
What's in the C:\Windows\Fonts\ directory? Are other fonts present? Incidentally, that does not appear to be Windows built-in Wingdings.ttf glyphs.

comment Powershell IIS plugin - cmdlets not working
Have you tried Add-PSSnapin WebAdministration instead? The docs suggest the Import-Module on its own may not be sufficient.

comment How do I restore 1/2 of all files in a VSS image? aka Previous Version in bulk?
For 2008+ see diskshadow, for mounting in particular diskshadow expose. If you don't use a separate disk for VSS be aware "...high I/O load will cause shadow copies to be deleted..."

See my link above. The elevated console would not have access.
