comment How to serve robots.txt for all my own subdomains but not other hosts on Apache?
I read that many robots do not follow redirects when fetching robots.txt, but I'm going to try this with a RewriteRule in the directory block.

Awesome tips about the opcache settings. Thanks!

Thanks. For now I have simply replaced the built-in opcache with the XCache opcache. That one does work properly.

I am not using the chroot option in PHP-FPM, yet when I disable the opcode cache this issue disappears. This is very strange....

comment How to manage dependencies on PEAR packages
I know. I'd love to use Pyrus. But the fact remains that there are quite a few broken channels out there that do not work with Pyrus (but do with with the old PEAR installer) and that there are many packages that use @data_dir@ replacement. So, this makes Pyrus unusable for me at this moment. Maybe in a year or so, maybe longer. But I have clients that I build websites for now.

I already tried Pyrus (see my question). It isn't working for me because it's much more strict about channel implementations than the old PEAR installer. So, many packages normally installable by PEAR are currently not (yet) installable through Pyrus. PHPUnit for example (because it depends on something from eZ Components and eZ broke their channel and refuse to fix it).

@hakre: pear-switch doesn't work for me. See my updated question.
