I'm working as a consultant in a software company. Our developers are building a desktop-application on windows-platform using sql-server, exchange-server ... It's me who is talking to our customers to implement it on their systems.

"3 Note that the sp_configure awe enabled option is present on 64-bit SQL Server, but it is ignored. It is subject to removal in future releases or service packs of 64-bit SQL Server." Seen on: [msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms187499.aspx] So i was wrong, sorry.

As i understand this materia, this is off-topic: Outlook2003 works in this particular case, i dont't know which settings are mandatory for that but this doesn't matter.

@Paul Cunningham: This Addin detects (under Exchange2003 by event, under Exchange2010 there are no events anymore) any changes in calendar, tasks e.g. every Folder and put a entry in a interface-table on sql-server via odbc-connection.

comment How much and why may a windows domain controller affect performance of sql-server?
Thanks for these lines of explanation. As i can see on SQL-Server a user has up to 4 connections (SPID) this while using our application. This means that each SQL-Server -Connection (SPID) was sent to DC for validation?

comment Install Active Directory on Windows Server 2008 R2 for CRM 2011?
Be aware to install and configure the AD service BEFORE CRM2011, otherwise you won't be able to access from network.
