@Basil I am trying to find the source code regardless of the motive. I was citing one more suitable for your criteria. I thought the community here would be best placed to know where EMC resources are kept. Don't want to waste either of our time - especially when ewwhite is being useful to get me near the answer.

@Basil However a professional system administrator that is able to review source code to assertion whether back doors and security mechanisms in open source products are robust and secure, would like to be able to especially when it's meant to be readily available. If no-one here knows where EMC host the code then I'll need to ask the FSF.

Please forget my motives and issues of support/warranty - lets concentrate on the question - where does one find the GNU source code used in EMC VNXe products?

@Basil Kill off corrupt replication sessions, take decent performance metrics and solve problems on a VNXe when we need to (much like you can on a plain VNX) without waiting an eternity for a WebEx session. Really I just need to know where they host their source code for GNU compliance and will take it from there.

@Basil Its the "Service Shell" password I am looking for. There are hard-coded ones such are clariion clariion!, etc which are great for getting into UniSphere if you forget the password, but I am trying to enable the full command line to avoid international calling shenanigans.

comment Increasing the maximum DNS record size on a Cisco 800 Router
@Zabuzzman yup TCP 53 is enabled, and according to a network TAP installed it is actively used as well. The limit appears to be 1300b records and above.

Some embedded systems have limited methods of configuration (or set modes in this case) and sometimes you end up with horrible kludges to make things work "just right".
