comment Loading JSON in PHP53: ZVAL_DELREF in Unknown on line 0
"undefined symbol: ZVAL_DELREF" isan indication that the .so file was compiled in a wrong way. (ZVAL_DELREF is a C preprocessor macro an should not appear in the binary)

comment “Virtual hosts” for SSH
In situations where bonjour works (local networks) you usually don't have strong limitations on IP addresses, unless you have a picky network operations group. You have trouble with limited IP addresses on public net systems where IPv4 addresses are limited.

comment Are PHP session files ever deleted?
"garbage collection" is used in different ways for different things. The session garbage collection exists since PHP 4.0 (which introduced the session module). What's new in 5.3 is the memory garbage collection for cleaning up cyclic references of PHP variables where the reference counting mechanism keeps them alive till request end. php.net/gc vs. php.net/session.gc-probability

comment configuring mysql cluster server
From your question I assume you don't want to use MySQL Cluster, but maybe some MySQL replication, if really needed.

comment MySQL binlog format dilemma?
The safest way is to configure the master accordingly, create a consistent dump and create the slaves from that.
