What IIS authentication method to use with Git server hosted on IIS? It turns out that for some reason Windows Authentication works from a remote machine, but when I try to access webgitnet from the same machine the site is running on, the authentication fails (using same credentials). Have you ever encountered this issue? |

What IIS authentication method to use with Git server hosted on IIS? No, I normally use OpenSSH - I'll give Putty a shot. |

What IIS authentication method to use with Git server hosted on IIS? No popup occurs, just hangs. I use Git Extensions all the time with other repos requiring auth, works no problem... |

What IIS authentication method to use with Git server hosted on IIS? Thanks for the response. I have since discovered windows auth (with no SSL) is working fine for me from a bash command line. When I try a push with Git Extensions, which I normally use, it does not work. It hangs without ever prompting me for user/password. That sounds like not your problem, so thanks again for the clarification. If you do have success using Git Extensions for a push, I would be interested in hearing about that. |

Are there any connection limits on Windows 7 IIS v7.5? @TristanK I framed the question as best as I could with my limited understanding. The issue I was trying to deal with was the IIS connection limit exceeded errors (actually EventID 4226) that you can get when hosting IIS on Windows XP. The reason I assumed half-open connections were the issue was that this is what was patched by the TCPIP.SYS patcher I used (lvllord.de/?lang=en&url=4226patch/faq), which resolved the issue. |

Are there any connection limits on Windows 7 IIS v7.5? No need to pay for a server, as I was having no issue with connection limit - only half-open connection limit, which is a solved problem. |
