comment Can wget convert links within a local html document?
Can you serve also the images? Using symlinks you can link to a foo/ directory with images, so your localhost path mimics that in relative src paths. Or you can edit html files and place base tag with appropriate href attribute in <head> section.

I am afraid not. Wget do not support file:// scheme. --input-file is only to read many urls conveniently in a batch manner.

comment How do I alter the Last-Modified header on NGNIX?
Ok, I've got it. I failed at greping previously, If I've done it recursively I would have found it. Thanks for walking me through it.

Ok, I'm greping source for identifiers that you are talking about and I've found none of them. I've got things like ngx_http_headers_out and others. We are talking about two different nginx versions. I've got 1.0.4, and what is yours?

Good to know, could you point me to a file ? Is it in src/http/ngx_http_header_filter_module.c ?

I've checked it with curl -D and after adding add_header Last-MOdified ""; to my nginx.conf, Last-Modified header is no longer there in dump file.

comment passenger-status - ERROR: Phusion Passenger doesn't seem to be running
I've found it! Thanks to your comment. I was blind before. The log entry was about unable to start watchdog because its executable path does not exist. The one of many sites had PassengerRoot set to old path and old version of passenger. And that was causing a problem. Thank you!

No, nothing related to passenger. I've updated my question, though.

comment bind9 configuration problem
Is dig using your nameserver ? I mean, have you edited your /etc/resolv.conf to use your nameserver 127.0.0.1 ? or try adding @nameserver option to dig.

comment Regex for IP after DST= but not after SRC=
You are right. My output statement does not state that it matches only IP. On my terminal DST= is green and 192.168.1.1 is red so it is obvious.

comment Apache2 on Ubuntu: I don't have installed apachectl
ok. Maybe your version does not have it. I am working now on 10.04. But reload should do the same as graceful if in doubt look at source of /etc/init.d/apache2 it should call at some point $APACHE2CTL graceful.

comment Setting environment variables for a service without a login shell on Debian
Ok. I was asking domino. Your answer is related to Fedora. Maybe domino is using different distribution where init scripts are not configured in /etc/sysconfig
