comment Windows Server 2008 - Prevent Error Recovery screen on next boot
Awesome. I can confirm that, as hoped and expected, this works with Windows 2008 Server R2.

comment Why are these SCSI drives always clicking?
Agreed with the durability. I'm going to replace these but with 18 or 36 Gb SCSI hard drives. As these are mirrored I'll be sure to have a third or fourth available as backup.

Actauully no, by your own posting those hard drives are 12 years old.

So they've been failing for the last seven or eight years then? Do you have any real world experience with SCSI hard drives of that vintage? And yes I will be replacing them soon. OS Backups do happen on a very regular basis.

comment Do admins mind exes being copied/installed to the users Application Data folder?
FWIW my app is about 1.5 Mb in size and won't grow too much over the years. Maybe double in size but that's about it. The configuration files are only 1 kb or less in size.

comment Group Policy: Trusted Location in User's My Documents?
David, I don't know enough about roaming folders in Vista/Win 7. I haven't had any questiohs on that line from the users. In the AutoFEUpdater the %appdata% is the special folder API call using the constant CSIDL_APPDATA and not the environment variable.
