I'm a software developer at Stack Exchange in New York City and work on Stack Overflow Careers 2.0.

I love writing code and I love my job. Building things and shipping code is what motivates and drives me every day.

Continuous delivery is great. Huge end-of-milestone deployments are awful. I also strongly dislike red tape and too much process getting in the way of getting things done and doing what's right.

Today, I use MVC, SQL, Redis and a bunch of JavaScript frameworks to get the job done. Tomorrow, I might be using something completely different.

comment Enable Powershell Remoting during unattended installation
After monitoring it more closely, I could see a powershell window opening up during the "Setup is applying system settings" screen. However, it seems to run powershell 1.0 (c:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\powershell.exe) for some reason. The output in the window is "WinRM has been updated to receive requests. WinRM service started.", then after a few seconds some red lines with an apparent error message appear (wasn't able to capture it) and the window disappears.

comment Enable Powershell Remoting during unattended installation
I tried to add a RunSynchronousCommand (under "Microsoft-Windows-Deployment", pass "4 specialize") to execute "powershell.exe Enable-PSRemoting -force", that didn't work.
