comment SQL Failover Cluster Resource DNS Registration Failure
Have you tried disabling this adapter and bouncing both nodes? I've had issues with 2008 clusters and patching where network interfaces (not the crossover) show as failed but resources still work until they restart; then they won't come back online again. Rebooting both nodes corrects the issue but it's a huge pain.

comment Where are the SQLServer jobs stored?
DTS packages are stored in the msdb database, which is a system database. If you schedule a DTS package from Enterprise Manager (EM) as a SQL job it will show the encrypted name in the job step, not sure if that helps you to find the name. You can extract a DTS package into a structured file from EM as well.

comment Why do I get prompted for “Data Source Credentials” when editing a SSRS report for SCCM?
I had this same issue and found this to be the only solution as well. Did you get this from Microsoft PSS/CSS? I'm really curious to see why they went this direction.

comment Failover server for SQL Server mirror errors after reboot
Mirroring is functioning okay; this is by design because tempdb is not and can not be mirrored. Can't hurt to get it over to dba.se.

comment Does SQL Server Maintainance Cleanup consider exact times when deleting old backups?
That code is what the Microsoft Maintenance Plan generates; I think they'll make an exception for themselves on using undocumented stored procedures. I've updated the answer to more specifically answer your question.

comment Can't select database for transaction log backup in maintenance plan
I'd say you should apply the latest service pack to the machine running SSMS, since it sounds like a client bug and you are running 2 SP behind current.

comment Cannot see linked server properties in SQL Server 2008 R2
I'm pretty sure these fields have been non-editable since 2005 came out. Scripting out the link and making the changes you want to the link is the way to go. If you suspect it's a bug then you should put an entry on connect.microsoft.com.

comment Does SAP version 4.7 require MS Sql Server Enterprise Edition?
You should be able to put in an OSS Note with SAP to get a definitive answer on this. In my experience SAP Consultant shops will stay with the safe answer which is to not touch anything that works.

comment High-availability on SQL Server, cons and pros of solutions?
@Mark could you add something in about mirroring and address the pros and cons of each scenario? OP wants to see how mirroring compares to the other options and might want to know the failover/failback procedures for each, especially since mirroring doesn't require a re-initialization when failing back like with log shipping.
