I am a .NET developer with working experience at both small and large companies, including the financial and marketing industries. I like to dabble in different languages in techniques, with my current position in the C#/ASP.net space, but I have worked with Python/Django and Ruby/Rails in my free time.

comment Will mercurial work properly with multiple users using a single working copy on a share
With all due respect, without having local copies, how do developers do their work now??? That seems like any changes would clobber someone elses work, particularly if you run a local server/app from your working copy.

comment Best way to create a vpn between two windows machines?
I love and fully recommend Hamachi- easy to set up, easy to use, easy to stop using if that time ever comes. It's like setting up an instant messenger.

comment Can Windows Server 2008 RDP be setup to act like VNC?
Perhaps mstsc /v:SERVERNAME -console would be more accurate, is that why this is -1?

comment Google Chrome Enterprise - Any Gotchas?
As much as I hate IE, I'd have to agree about the ease of management. Please do every one in your company and DO NOT go with IE 6 or 7. We're stuck on IE6 where I work and it makes me contemplate punching babies. Luckily, devs can install FF for "testing".

comment What good free software is available for backing up a few PCs?
The pull-style backup looks promising, but I don't have a linux/unix server to run from, so Cobian has been choice.
