comment SQL Server Web Edition Installation
I'm tending to go with large downtime option. I'm guessing that I would back up DB's first, uninstall Standard Edition and any features not support by Web Edition, THEN install Web Edition and attach DB's? The process looks involved and error-prone: support.microsoft.com/kb/955499

All these sites are currently live, so the nameservers must be already configured, yes?

Not sure what you mean by #3... I thought I could get the registered IPs for each site and assign them as in steps #1 and #2. Are you saying I have to log into the clients' registrar accounts and update something there?

comment Multiple Sites on One IIS Server Need Different Outgoing IP Addresses
My problem is related - I want to give 10 sites on my hosted VM Windows 2008 server different IP addresses. So per your answer, I can leave my email ip the same in all the Web.Config files?

comment How to Block Spam on Server from Certain Service Providers
Actually, I'm in the process of upgrading my instance of BlogEngine - the newer version includes Akismet and RECAPTACHA. In the meantime, I was thinking of blocking some of the offending IP ranges and wasn't sure of the steps to do this...

comment Block Active Directory Group
It's set up as an Intranet Publishing site. I'm thinking of adding that group to a SharePoint Group and restricting the members with the Web App Policy in Central Admin. Does this make sense?

Chris, what exactly do you mean by "public group enabled"?

Because one of the applications is hosted on an internal web site which we have tightened down.
