comment How to update grub with puppet?
Yes indeed. Having a quoted argument for this one could also be useful, although I'm not sure Augeas could manage it with the current lens.

comment How to copy a branch in augeas
For the record, the cp functionality is now available in HEAD (github.com/hercules-team/augeas/commit/…) and will be released in the next version of Augeas!

comment Extending Puppet (probably with augeas) for custom configuration format
@RadekHladík: Apparently, the Shellvars_list.lns lens doesn't support end-of-line comments (while the Shellvars.lns lens does). It shouldn't be too hard to implement.

comment How can I use Puppet/Augeas to manage exim dc_local_interfaces configuration?
I'm kind of not sure update-exim4.conf.conf is a shellvars file… It would probably require its own lens.

comment puppet augeas with more than one array in a single key
So your definition is part of a serial module, in a file called manifests/grubmenulst.pp?

What version of Puppet are you using? Is the serial::grubmenulst define in a proper autoloaded file?

comment Augeas tasks are shown as changed, although the file wasn´t changed
Which versions of Puppet, Augeas and ruby-augeas are you using? As a note, "/files/${puppet_conf}/" is wrong that is will use /files//etc/puppet/puppet.conf which will do a deep-level search. You could also use Camptocamp's puppet::config definition which does exactly that.
