comment Oracle Account Not Responding
The 'alter system kill session' command did not work, so it looks like I'll need to wait a few days to restart the instance since I can't restart it now. Thanks for your help DCookie!

I checked v$version and indeed this is 10.2.0.3.0.

Thanks for the instructions! I updated the question with a snippet from the bottom of the alert log. I don't see anything interesting over the past two months until what I posted started this week. There were more 'orakill: attempting to kill tid=' lines after the end of this snippet that I left out for brevity.

I ran orakill and it returned "Kill of thread id 436 in instance [MYSID] successfully signalled." but I'm still seeing all 11 rows being returned by the query against v$session and v$process.

What did you do to resolve the issue then? We are using the hostname, but perhaps there could be a proxy server between the client and server which is using the IP instead..?

The button is built to hide itself after it is toggled, whether it's with a click or tabbing and pressing enter, the button will become invisible to prevent an accidental "double click." This is what we originally thought was happening, but after updating the button to hide itself using javascript we found the underlying network problem.

I'm not sure if all the fields are enabled, but I put up a snippet of what we see.

comment Which account does ASP (classic) run under when integrated windows authentication is on?
The credentials arenot important, so this probably would have worked with a bit of effort and a script change, but luckily I found Evan Anderson's suggestion worked for me. Thanks for your input!

Setting "Anonymous Access" on the individual file using the IIS management console snap-in worked!

Yes, the ASP file invokes the ASP.NET webservice by making a HTTP request to the server (which happens to be the local machine / same server as the ASP file is running on)

Can someone please tag this as [asp-classic]? I'm over here from StackOverflow but have no reputation to create a new tag.
