comment KVM Ubuntu Guest cannot connect to the internet on bridged networking
I have precisely the same issue as the OP. However, I do not understand -- is this command on the guests or on the host? What does that iptable rule do? Is there an equivalent in ufw? Thanks!

comment mount qcow2 snapshots
In between the qemu-nbd connect and the mount, it can be very helpful to run a partprobe -s /dev/nbd0 otherwise the partitions aren't always discovered especially from within quick running bash scripts.

comment How do I do Multihop SCP transfers?
Current versions of ssh have nc built-in so now you only need to use the -W command line option: ProxyCommand ssh near -W distant:22

It's also fortunate that virt-manager runs ssh as its current user so that these options are honored.

comment Virtmanager connection via custom SSH command?
I found that the new versions of ssh have nc built in and so my ProxyCommand needed to be ProxyCommand ssh -p 2188 www.example.com -W virt-hosts.internals.int:8854. I would also add that ssh is smart enough to not try to resolve the internal hostname until after it executes the proxy command. Gotta love SSH.

comment Apache mod_ldap / mod_authnz_ldap not caching?
Indeed it was a weird interaction between the Apache2 reverse proxy and the server configuration (at least for JIRA). This documentation explicitly states that caching is disabled in this case: confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/…

Yes, they go up when I refresh. It must be the relationship between Apache and the server it is reverse proxying. I'll look into that.

Added the ldap-status info above. Re the shared memory, how can I check if it is enabled? How would I enable it? FYI - running Apache 2.2.22.
