We actually use the DHCP server at site 1 to assign internal IPs to VPN clients. Those IPs are in the 10.0.0.x range, so I believe the requests to the servers at site 2 should see that IP. I'll check the VPN logs and see if I can't get some detailed info to determine if the NAT issue is what's happening.

comment Prevent second IP on multihomed server from registering in AD-enabled DNS
This seems to have worked perfectly. I had worked around by setting up a dummy zone in the DNS for our public domain which allowed the certificate errors to go away with Outlook, but that had the nasty side effect of preventing anyone from resolving any hostnames that I didn't explicitly set up in that dummy zone. Your suggestion resolves the cert error internally and still lets me use the public cert externally. Thanks a million.

Evan, your suggestion makes perfect sense...I did a workaround before leaving the office yesterday and as a result I can't test your suggestion. I will test it tomorrow and I'll flag this answered if it works.
