Oh, my! There are still ext2 in the wild?!!! Can I touch it? I think it would be better for you to switch to ext3 or ext4 because of dir_index capability.

comment configure apache to serve to 2- sites but using 1/same images directory
ln -s will create a symbolic link. Linux does not allow directory hardlinks. You can achieve the same in NTFS with directory junctions. See: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NTFS_junction_point

Can you please test which option is required? I think that only delete readonly = yes is required.

Try to add delete readonly = yes in samba configuration in the section shared. See:samba.org/samba/docs/man/manpages-3/smb.conf.5.html#id2539582

I was referring to samba share name, like [shared] in this case. I think it is an application issue, not a samba one. If you upgrade TurtoiseSVN is the problem solved? Also, could you give us the full error message that Windows is displaying when you try to delete a folder with R/O files?

comment Forward differing hostnames to different internal IPs through NAT router
it is working. We are using in this way to have the same hostname from the browser and also in the request from the proxy towards the website. The browser is resolving the domain using DNS and the reverse proxy is resolving the same domain using hosts. And you will have an infinite number of requests if you forgot to configure it in the hosts and the reverse proxy is allowed to browse the Internet. And better is to have one IP configured for the DNS that is resolving the hosts for Internet and an internal IP for intranet. IN this way the local requests does not go trough the proxy.

comment Which wiki satisfies ACL ADI and API?
I tried to use the wiki from SP2007 and it was like using Word 95 to create HTML files. I still have nightmares. It was included just to make another check mark on the list of "features".
