Sorry, I did not scroll down on the link the first time I look at it.

There may not be a Primary Domain Controller, but you still can only have a single master machine for a select few operations per forest or per domain (and be wary that you must migrate the responsibility if you are going to demote or remove a machine from the network who is filling one of the operation master rolls)

comment Windows Explorer and UAC: run elevated
@TheCleaner that method still works in 2012, you just need to use task manager to close Explorer.

comment Is there a difference between RAID 10 (1+0) and RAID 01 (0+1)?
Honestly, I think your tables look quite nice and images would be worse.

comment Can't get virtual desktops to show up on RDWeb for Server 2012 R2
Unfortunately I did test that, I tested with several standard user accounts that was a member of the Domain Users group. I also tried with the domain administrator account (that is the one i took the final sereenshot with)

comment What upload technology would be appropriate for this use case?
@mfinni Overwriting is not a concern, and using some form of service that allows uploading but not download solves the shared account issue.

comment PXE bootable image for terminal server?
You say there is "no hardware costs" when you talk about the Terminal Server/Server Farm solutions (not counting the clients). However a farm than can support 300 PC's is going to have a VERY non negligible cost.

comment Is it possible for two hostnames share the same IP address?
Want a real world example where it happens? Ping serverfault.com and superuser.com and look at the IP address that is returned for both.

comment Local Group Policy not updating. RSOP and GPResult show stale data
For something this advanced I would recommend moving your question to ServerFault.com, You can flag your own question to be moved or delete this question here and re-ask it there. Please do not post the same question in both places at the same time.

You may be better served asking this question on ServerFault. You can flag your question to be moved or delete this question and make a new question on that site. Please do not post on both.

Have you considered the load balancing built in to RDS via RD Connection Broker using Farms?

comment Can the Installation Monitor from the Win2K Resource kit be used on newer OS's?
Yea, that's what I am currently using, I was just hoping there was a better tool that was tailored for installations. ProcMon has a case of "information overload". There is too much clutter you need to filter through to actually find the relevant information.

comment Using TrueCrypt with File Replication on Windows Server
Can you set up File replication to use VSS? Also you may get a better result on ServerFault.com, this is more of a IT question than a power user question. You can flag your own question for a moderator and they can move it for you.

comment Setting up a BITS server for upload only
Unfortunately the client computers are not on part of the domain so I can not set up permissions for them, however you have answered my question about is it possible. I think I will just have a script that moves it out of the output folder once the transfer completes using the "Send message when complete" feature to trigger it.

comment Windows Server 2008 R2 RDP login paste password
I will leave this as a comment instead of a answer as it does not provide a solution, but the reason you can not paste in rdp is copy and paste is handled by rdpclip.exe which is run in your user context. If you have not logged in yet, rdpclip has not started yet. However there may be client side solutions to this, and I look forward to watching this question.

comment Why does Terminal Services open WMI, RPC, and NB ports in the firewall?
So why are inbound ports enabled when you install the session host roll. I could understand installing it if you install the license server, but not session host.

comment Where can I find authoritative info about the “DSA Heuristics” registry key for domain controllers?
The issue is it does a lot more than just that. It also Disables the disabling of Write-Cache and it can Disable Circular Logging (you may need to put in the : by hand in the url).
