I've been in the IT industry since 2000. I have a degree in physics but chose to make my career in IT. Currently I spend more time working with system security than writing code but when I have the time I enjoy perl, php and mysql.

Currently working on:

LAMP servers
Postfix
Windows Server 2008
Network Administration
Security Administration
Asterisk

@Chopper3 - I thought that the info in the title was good enough but now agree with you. I've updated the tags at your request.

looking forward to trying this. As I said, I've used mkinitrd but I did not attempt to install a kernel (kind of assumed I already had one - albeit a "broken" one. What VM environment did you migrate from?

you mentioned that you've been able to migrate linux DomU without any problems. Man I've spent a lot of time on that and am spinning my wheels. Can you point me in a good direction?? - ps I know this is an old post, hoping you'll notice my comment...

@joey - You don't need to update you puppet clients for this to work since it's server side (although updating the clients isn't a bad idea).

spend some time here: httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/misc/perf-tuning.html. This will help you understand how to fashion your question. Note the "Choosing an MPM" section.
