"Customer support" isn't likely to give you the help needed for this. Escalate the call!

@mattdm ...OK, -soft-smile- Well done. Your reply was also polite, thanks. I apologize for my ire, you had reasonable reasons. I've been using this software (as a sys-admin + ) since version 1.1, but haven't had time to keep up with all the project details... ...and SOME of the changes have been very annoying! (not that you're responsible for them.) Thanks for updating me.

Unfortunately, it wasn't nearly so simple. I apparently did not make it clear, but I had already tried starting the milter... See the real answer below.

@mattdm ...I'm not against learning. I will read your reply that hopefully does two things: 1) explain how / why "fc" is STILL used on ALL the software (packages and uname, in particular), and; 2) support your assertion with outside references, preferably from the project itself. ...I do note that "name changes" happen, but they're not meant to be taken as far as you have, such as Postgres, now known as "PostgreSql" - the Sql ending was added to advertise the then-new SQL capabilities. However, it's STILL, "Postgres" to those on the project and those with more experience.

I would NEVER vote someone down for expressing a different opinion, however, your answer is unresponsive to the question. If In can get SpamAssassin to work, I'm not going with your suggestion. Thanks though.

@mattdm ...You are mistaken in your edit about Fedora Core. For evidence of this, on ANY younger version, simply type 'uname -a' and / or look at the installed software packages as returned by 'rpm -qa'. ...Ever wonder what the 'fc' stands for?! Yes, you got it, Fedora Core. I don't have time enough in my life to argue with WRONG pedants like you, however, I do respectfully request you please NEVER bother to update MY questions again - at least, certainly NOT for this particular point.
