comment Chef - Howto compute attributes from node specific values?
Tim's got the answer there I'd think. You can also see how elasticsearch does the same thing here : github.com/elasticsearch/cookbook-elasticsearch/blob/master/…

comment EC2 : How to assign multiple elastic IPs to a single network interface via SDK
Also, this in no way answers the previous question which is "How can I associate multiple elastic IPs with a single network interface with the SDK"

If you're going to shamelessly copy-paste someone else's work, I'd highly recommend that you at the very least refer back to them :engineering.silk.co/post/31923247961/…

And yes, we will be receiving calls from Australia. We've got a pretty large customer base there, and a few smaller ones throughout Europe ( UK mostly ).

We'll have on-call senior support in Canada, but they won't be fielding queue calls.

As for the roundtrips .. that's entirely my bad .. a detail I'd omitted. If we were to have local numbers in Australia provided to us as a SIP trunk, the call travel would most likely be Customer > Australian SIP trunk > North American PBX > Australian Phone ... one trip up to the PBX, and then another down to the Phone.

Haha, true you can't outrun the speed of light, however you're adding an increasing amount of routers and switches in the mix which'll invariably lead to latency, unless I'm very much mistaken.
