Sorry, but you're not a viable candidate. Applying to be a moderator so it might jump-start you into being interested in the site again?

Evan Carroll is a parody account of himself, this is not a serious nomination, please don't engage him. Can we ban Evan during the election so he doesn't continually spam other nominations trying to get people to pay attention to him, as is already happening on the other nomination?

comment Why is it bad to have a weak mysql user password?
@Peter As an aside, you probably shouldn't be allowing your mysql and www-data users to login interactively.

@Peter Yes, my argument is still valid, as my whole argument is "just because your password might be compromised doesn't mean you shouldn't use a password". You've highlighted one specific case where the password is compromised. This isn't cause to give up on password-protecting your database, as there are countless other cases in which a strong password would protect it.

comment Where do I put a startup and shutdown task?
Voted to move to Server Fault; This has a lot more to do with system administration than programming.

comment moving from Debian/Ubuntu to CentOS
There's a whole site over at ServerFault.com specifically for server administrators. StackOverflow is specifically for programming-oriented questions.

comment Is it hard for a server, to host 30 000 websites + 30000 databases, with 3 users on each a day?
That better be 500GB of RAM...
