Currently I'm working for MasterCard Worldwide as a Java EE and Microsoft .NET web developer. It's crazy -- I know! I do most of my Java work with Spring MVC, and most of my .NET work with ASP.NET MVC. I've done a fair amount of work with node.js, Python, and Ruby, too. I'm definitely a polyglot programmer. I prefer a *nix environment over Windows, most of the time, but I can generally work with any system.

Beat me to it. For the OP, based on your criteria you have to use either an SSH tunnel or open a port on the public interface. The script is a nice way to bundle everything up.

This did not work :( I even removed the battery.

I'm going to try this Monday. It's my work laptop, and it occurs to me that it's always been plugged in (or at least on stand-by) since I changed this setting.

Unfortunately, updating to the latest BIOS did not resolve this issue. I double-checked after the BIOS update that VT-x was enabled, and I still get no results from VirtualBox or VirtualPC 2007. SecureAble still shows that everything is okay.

+1 for the Securable link. According to Securable, my system does support VT-x. I'm checking into the BIOS details now...
