Disabling the plugin would alleviate most java security concerns right? (Since java attacks happen through the browser)

ok..so I create a new user and give admin rights and configure a proper lockout, and the real admin I just rename into something weird so it can't be guessed?

Interesting. A question though: the KB gives as an example that it makes a service from 'notepad' which inherently is not a service but just a plain exe. Does this trick also work for real services?

mscs does exactly what I need. And the commenters (under my own answer) are right in that it is tricky to roll your own which works as reliable and good.
