I have over 30 years experience in all phases of software development and delivery. I have administered a variety of midrange servers, and worked with systems from PCs to Mainframes.

comment Synchronize clock with NTP while online, and with RTC while offline?
@NilsToedtmann No, I mean NTP clock drivers. It's been my experience that RTCs normally drift, but not at high rates if the batter is good. Missed ticks can be an issue with the system clock.

comment Synchronize clock with NTP while online, and with RTC while offline?
@NilsToedtmann As far as I can find there is no official driver for the RTC. I believe the local driver just uses the servers clock, which you report drifts. I'll update my response.

comment bind9 reverse zone dns config error - CNAME
@XavierLucas In this case yes, the values were copied from the referenced documentation. The 27 or 29 doesn't matter much other than a reference to the size of the delegation. 64/29 indicates a subnet of 8 addresses starting at 64. 64/27 indicates a subnet of 32 addresses starting at 64, which could then be re-delegated as 64/29 and addition subnets.
