Login without running bash_profile or bashrc This works well - simple and provides a shell you can use to fix the problem. |

Is there a simple way to daemon-ify a simple task? +1 also to using screen. It's simply to use and once you get used to it, you'll never want to be without it. I would consider it one the most valuable tools I use in the Unix world. |

Why is reading from my lvm mirror slower than reading from the individual disks? Please update your answer with the correct information now that everyone's on the same page regarding mirroring. That will eliminate any confusion for others. |

All my emails to Yahoo!, Hotmail and AOL are going to Spam, though I've implemented every validation method (works for Gmail though) Whether SPF caught on or not - it's used by both Hotmail and AOL - which the original poster is having issues with. |

Cisco Switching Module and HSRP interface Tracking @Kyle: This is how I do it as well (keeping the wan/lan links on the same router where possible). As you said, not a requirement, but cleaner (and one less hop). |

Cisco Switching Module and HSRP interface Tracking Kyle: If I understand you correctly, you probably want to track physical Ethernet0/0/0 then (which would go down if you unplugged the cable or layer 2 dropped for any reason). |
