PostgreSQL slow commit performance +1. When I saw the IOPS numbers I thought "cheap totally overloaded VPS". This is beyond comical, even for the slow SATA discs. Good catch - the numbers are just ridiculous, something is VERY wrong here. |

How does a browser request from CNAME? More exact: The host name is the one typed into the browser, the DNS resolution is irrelevant at this point. The user types"www.domain.com" then this is what is in the request. |

Activate Windows 8 with Server 2008 R2 KMS Host That sort of is the problem - the Win8 KMS is the Server 2012 grade key. It works on the 2008 R2 host post patch, but you need to have the proper key. THAT SAID: you say you have a Win8 KMS host key - that IS a server 2012 key. |

Use MikroTik Bridge as a Public IP Firewall for Public Hosted Servers It will also make thigns easier as you can do firewalling on the routing level. It is standard to do so - I always use a routing step for that. The network hop is totally irrelevant if you have the processing power to handle it. Always had that step in - i.e. use a router as firewall, not a bridge. |

Use MikroTik Bridge as a Public IP Firewall for Public Hosted Servers Consder hiring someone who knows what he is doing. Also consider whether your mikrotik simply is too small. I run that stuff - in a much larger and more complex scenario - without any issues. |
