comment Azure VMs and Min requirements
Second, you miss that sometimes a super small vm is enough. Run only a DNS server? 0.75gb is actually enough to have some reserves during patching ;)

comment Why isn't my RAID array rebuilding?
It could jsut be a driver issue. Have the same with Adaptec - it just does not start the rebuild. Reboot - rebuild starts, goes through. Something about programmers making errors that somehow never get fixed.

comment Which db choose to concurrent work of 2000 connections and more?
Ask a programmer not being a junior. I am quite sure your 2000 workers would not use 2000 concurrent connections. On top, my phone can handle 2000 connections (nearly). Put a server there (not a small VPS) and it should not be a problem.

comment Can I use SQL Server Enterprise Edition on VM Azure for production use
Well, a read through the basics of how .NET works is in order, you know. Not an admin question - you are confused even on a beginner developer level.

A little bit common sense please. A company website OBVIOUSLY is not development and testing. And you seem to be totally unaware about the deployment tools coming with visual studio. Create an installer and redistributing the resitributables from VS is part of development.

Define "Website". The purpose counts - development, testing, demo is ok (that is what development software is for). Production is not.

@Solo Ignorant (as in: Ignoring - the site rules). This community (serverfault) is NOT about learning but about advice between professionals. If you want to learn, head over to superuser or any other site that is not explicitly for people with the basic knowledge.

Not same way is not "unavailable". Simple like that.

comment Is it possible to put http torrent tracker under CDN to prevent DDOS?
@kasperd This is actually not true - most proxies will include the original IP as payload into the header. Whether the software is compatible is another thing totally.

comment Azure IO performance
@Massimo Well, did you read the OP? He talks about a build server. It would occur to me that builds are a perfect issue for temporary storage ;)

comment Azure IO performance
-1 because it does not address the question. For the correct answer - Massimo nailed it: Azure is pathetically slow generally, but there is a high IO storage tier that can be used.

comment Start program on computer startup when nobody is logged on and show the window when someone does log on (OS: Windows)
Actually downvoting that now too because it is NOT an answer to the question. The question explicitly defines noon being logged in - and your "solution" here makes an automatic login (so someone IS logged in). Maybe not smart fomulation in the question, but the question is as it is.

comment Use in-memory database or search engine for read only to make website faster
Well, personally I think SSD are all the way to go outside of storage. I removed any non ssd from any server - again, outside our 30tb backup volumes, outside our file servers. The rest runs on SSD anyway. They are not THAT expensive and make everything faster.

Done. I also added some more detail text.

comment Starting MSMQ painfully slow at reboot
Investigate. 90 minutes for a regular server restart is painfull. If you need high availability this means you are out on one node for 1.5 hours JUST FOR A RESTART (which happen quite regularly during patching). Something is VERY odd here.

Have you checked disc performance? How busy is the server during this time? This is baseline information - regardless of what software - when asking about performance.

comment Why would you enumerate your OU container names?
Actually no, it is easier - you just enumerate by the NUMBER and ignore the rest. The Number is often following the coding of an organizational diagram, so it is something that for example is hanging in a wall somewhere showing which departments exist.

comment Should integration services always be installed on a Hyper-V VM?
Enlighted drivers are special drivers that bypass the virtualization. The Hyper-V SCSI driver is not going against simulated hardware, it talks to the hypervisor through a special software bus - it is "enlighted" to the fact is runs in a Hypervisor.

comment When should I consider a 2 socket motherboard for Server?
I woudl add that for most databases the processor is as irrelevant as it gets and memory and primarily disc IO budget is the limiting factor.

comment SMTP don't work when try to send mail from mail clinet
@Vladimir If you have another question, ask another question. It is frowned upon here to get a question answered, then to reformulate another question in a comment as you do here. The Gmail issue OBVIOUSLY is a different issue. Treat it as such.
