comment RewriteRule not working for apache https request
You need a certificate for lvdraspnetserv01. In this case the certificate validation happens before the redirect.

comment Apache rewrite rule and keep the url unchanged?
@Alaa If you remove that rule completely do you still get the redirect? If so you probably have another rule or directive that is being applied first.

comment Understanding FTP/FTPS for local users
huh? The plugin has nothing to do with local FTP? About halfway down in the FAQ's there's a question "When will be asked for my FTP credentials and why?" that pretty much answers why they need FTP. A remote party (ie. not you) is going to access the files on the site to set the correct permissions. If you set the permission correctly through some other method they shouldn't ask for access to the FTP.

comment URL Masking (Cloaking Forwarding) and Apache
As embobo said why not just set the DNS of the domain to the correct server? That would be much better. It's more efficient and less complex.

What do you mean by "Only ping by IP"? If you can successfully ping in or out, it means you have an internet connection.

You're missing the leading slash in the rewrite rule.

comment Apache, modifying response codes from 404 to 301
You might want to ask over on webmasters.stackexchange.com but I'm not sure this is a good idea. Instead you should modify your 404 page to have helpful information for someone to find the correct information. If you must do it, you could have magento/php return the 301 directly.
