Is it just one domain that you care about when it is failing? More details on what 3rd party software might be helpful in proposing a solution.

comment iSCSI - what's faster?
1 and 3 are effectively the same if only one initiator exists. I think your question "why not get a DAS" is answered with "so we can add a switch and other initiators later".

comment VirtualBox VT-x virtualization already in use
Are the downvotes because the question was asked in the wrong place? Or because the question is worded badly? I the question is likely to get migrated to another stackexchange site, don't downvote it simply for that reason, because the votes will transfer too.

comment On VMWare Server, how can I specify which Ethernet port should be the one to be bridged?
What version of VMware Server are you using and on what platform? There are setting in VMware that allow you to configured which NICs are bridged to which devices, and you just need to adjust them.

comment vmware unique cpu identifier
What about multiple CPUs on the same host? If you do find an identifier, will it change if the hypervisor switches you to one of the other CPUs? I'd imagine that there is no way around this without pinning a VM to specific CPUs. I'm hoping someone has a good answer, because I've spent a lot of time researching this myself. The best answer I've been able to find is to add something to the config on the host that the VM can query via vmware-tools (but you have to have total control over the environment).

Of course the answer is to Read The Fine Manual, but here is a link with instructions on setting up static routes in Centos 6 (which is based on RedHat 6). docs.redhat.com/docs/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/6/html/…

If there is another network inside of 192.168.26.1, he'll need a route to that. Otherwise, +1, cause this is the correct answer.

comment Performance Monitor in Linux
I don't think this is a duplicate of the linked question, as he is clearly looking for something simple. I think this is just a case of "I'm not familiar with the basic tools", and not "I need to implement a monitoring infrastructure".

-1: This question is poorly worded and doesn't explain the actual problem is. I'd edit it myself to correct, but I can't really figure it out enough to even do that. I'll remove the minus one once the question is corrected to be clear enough to determine what it is actually asking.
