Variables in named.conf @Nick then I fear you're out of luck. How many zones are we talking about? I think that a simple sed 's/OLD.IP.ADD.RESS/NEW.IP.ADD.RESS/' every now and then (how often do these IP change?) won't be too much of a hassle. |

Variables in named.conf @Nick do you mean having different IPs for @, www and mail records? Or some domains on 1 IP, some on differnt IP and so on? Or some domains have IP 1.2.3.4 for www and 5.6.7.8 for mail, while some other the other way around (5.6.7.8 for www and 1.2.3.4 for mail0? |

Intermediate SMTP server (exim), how to handle backscatter? Exim can easily be configured to reject unwanted mail at STMP time (i.e. with 55X codes) before accepting and queueing it. |

Postfix and Sendmail restriction for Spam @bharath145 If you are sure that is just one user (as in a user in the /etc/passwd file you can block it via iptables, see here: cyberciti.biz/tips/… |

Transfer iptables rules to another server (almost) real time Actually, this is a really nice solution. No need to change the PATH enviroment as I can configure the iptables path on the plugin so I can point it to my script! Didn't think of it! Actually the script will be slightly more complex because interfaces differs and also on the border router I need to put the rules on the FORWARD chain and not the INPUT chain, but nothing too complicated ;) |
