It's been a while, but I wouldn't be surprised if that was my problem. I never thought 'no such file or directory' could mean that.

comment Configuring redundancy for caching/forwarding DNS servers?
I'm not sure, to be honest. The network configuration is basically: two subnets for two physical locations. I'm guessing anycast would mean a small prefix hosts don't know about, but routers do, which contains an alternate address both DNS servers share?

comment How to configure machines in a public subnet with two gateways?
I'm still interested in solutions to this. I'm beginning to think OSPF is overkill and not really the solution. (I also still don't understand it.) So now I'm leaning towards something installed on all machines (no problem, really) that ping-monitors routers and reconfigures routes as necessary. Is there anything existing that does this?
