I was born in 1947 and now live in the UK.
I studied Forestry and was involved in Forestry all my working life until recently.
Over the past +-19 years I was involved with producing forestry related information. The more work I did, the more I worried about loosing it through crashed hard drives etc.
I started backing up onto internal drives and then external drives.
I heard about online backup a few years ago and purchased some services to test them.
One company failed. The other I felt was too slow to upload to. Exasperatingly slow.
I was a bit put off generally.
A few months ago I did some more research and discovered a new batch of service suppliers from whom I have purchased some services.
The services available now(2010) are much more mature and I think an essential part of storing valuable data.
