comment Hyper-V on one machine
Personally, I'd install Hyper-V and then Server 2012 in one VM and Wheezy in another. Hyper-V handling of Linux is not as good as VMWare, however.

@shan, check out "captive portals". This is the name for the sort of setup you have there.

comment Shared Hosting folder access to Hosting provider
@hungrycoder yes...if the server is powered off how can users access it? Apache, IIS, and ngix are the three main web servers, although IIS needs a Windows host.

If it's their server, they can do what they want with it. End of converstion. If it's your server (i.e. Colocated) then things change.

comment Server dropping all clients at intervals
In that case, I'd ask GoDaddy support to escalate the ticket. I would even consider a different host (ideally, a smaller, local one, which would typically have better support).

Could you confirm that you are running Pocket Edition servers? I was under the impression that PE was peer-to-peer.

comment esxi and server 2008 on the same physical server
You want to dual boot ESXi and Windows Server 2008? Why not install ESXi and then install Server 2008 in a VM. Or just install Server 2008 and use Hyper-V?

comment Upgrading server motherboard while maintaining 12 SATA ports
@MikeyT.K. Greens have a rapid "spin down" time, so if you've got greens in a RAID volume and one spins down the RAID craps itself and marks the drive as failed, leading to all sorts of fun and games.

@mdpc yes, I thought that too, but the two questions he has aren't shopping questions. The answer to the first would be to buy a proper server rather than bodge an array and the second...green drives? Are you using them in RAID? Are you mad?

Unfortunately it's still classed as a shopping question which is off-topic on all StackExchange sites. You're more than welcome to join the ServerFault chat room but EWWhite's answer below is pretty much all that can be said here.

comment How to install NLB on 2 win 7 machines with IIS 7.5
Windows 7 does not support Network Load Balancing. I'd suggest you'd use a Server OS such as Server 2008 R2.
