comment File access from client Windows Server 2012 works with procmon enabled, otherwise doesn't
I know 'me too' is frowned on, but 'me too!'. I'm scanning on a Win7 box to a file share on another Win7 box. I'm wrestling with a problem where midway through it errors out saying it can't create a file, although the process has already created a number of them. I went to use procmon to troubleshoot and the thing works perfectly when I'm logging. What gives?

comment Exchange/Outlook rule to parse message subject and redirect/forward to embedded address within subject?
Thanks! They ended up implementing a workaround where a workstation is dedicated sitting running Outlook with a custom VBScript rule parses out incoming messages and forwards them on. Incredibly hackey, I know!

comment How can I remotely tell what brand/model internal SCSI card is installed in a machine?
Thanks, this looks like it would help a lot! It looks like the DISKDRIVE option dumps info about hte physical disk drive management. Would this include internal SCSI cards and external tape drives, though? Or is there a more appropriate command? I see there's a "SCSICONTROLLER" command, too.

Thanks, both are great ideas. Thanks everyone for the thoughts...some good stuff to keep in mind. Frankly I'd rather keep it in house, and manage it ourselves. But like mentioned above, the powers-that-be like that warm warm blanket. Sigh....corporate BS....
