I'm mainly a C# developer, currently working on ASP.NET MVC web applications, but I'm also fluent in PHP.

Check out my blog: Johnny Code

Here are some of the technologies I've used:

  • Kentico - I'm a Kentico Certified Trainer, and avid developer.
  • ASP.NET MVC - Worked on a college essay web application.
  • Entity Framework -I've done multiple projects using EF and have come to like it.
  • LINQ - I'd say I'm getting pretty good with LINQ. I've also used LINQ to SQL on a couple projects.
  • CMS': Kentico, Sitecore, Sitefinty, Ektron, and a little Drupal and Joomla.
  • .NET controls: Telerik RAD controls
  • Web Services - ASMX, ASP.NET Web API, WCF
  • SQL - I've written more SQL than I'd like :P Mostly for SQL Server and MySQL, but I wrote a little for Oracle too.
  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XHTML, XML, XSD - I can work with HTML and CSS fairly well, but I have NO design talent! But I could probably reproduce a Photoshop mockup with markup, and can slice and dice images fairly well.
  • JavaScript - I was writing JavaScript before jQuery, but I never liked it :P Now JavaScript is fun again.

Yeah, I believe I had a self-signed cert already configured for the 2 sites.

I can't find a working download link for the IIS6 Resource Kit. Anyone know where it can be found?

Does this same process apply to cell-level encryption as well? I have a similar question open.

comment Active FTP client blocked by Windows Firewall on Windows 7
FYI, I've tried this and it didn't work for me. I think there is something going on with my network because after trying a get command, the FTP client says PORT 192.168.1.145 which is obviously a local server... not sure why it's trying to do that though. But vote up because your answer should still be applicable. Maybe our network firewall is doing something?

I have these rules implemented (the were already there), but I still can't connect. I think it is a network issue for me because I can send commands fine, but the data channel is trying to communicate with 192.168.1.145 for some reason, instead of the external FTP server... but vote up because your answer should still be applicable.

Yeah, FYI, I tried this and no luck :( I'm not sure what the initial state what but it is enabled now.

Isn't this a resolution to a server side problem. His issue is that the client (his machine) wont accept the incoming connection from the server.

comment Can I use a Google Appliance/Mini to crawl and index sites I don't own?
Right, robots.txt contains the "rules" for indexing a site. Not that I would, but is there anything "official" saying I have to respect that file? (Other than not wanting to be a dick)

comment Can you configure a custom mail bounce message for specific addresses?
Interesting. I never thought of that as an issue! Excellent point!

I understand that, but how many spammers read their bounce messages? Or do most of them automate their software to READ bounce messages and spam addresses found within?

Not actually using anything, just a hypothetical.

Ah OK, I see the area for the license key now. Pretty unintuitive if you ask me!

I don't think any Cold Fusion configuration files or even applications have been touched recently. Maybe some networks settings changed.

Its not really a field, so much as a label. Its not editable.
