comment apache chmod 777 risks in a single user environment
What's wrong with creating a group containing apache and anyone else who needs to write? Or, since there are no other users on the box, just using chown apache on that folder and setting 700? IFAIK, only /tmp should be 777.

comment How to detect the process (and mysql query) that makes high load on server?
Another tool to look at is Innotop (code.google.com/p/innotop) a top clone for MySQL. Also check out the Percona Toolkit (percona.com/software/percona-toolkit)

comment What options do I have, to replace Apache web server?
What is the actual problem here? Are you just looking to replace Apache 'because' or is there an actual problem like crashing or swapping or slowness? If 'like 90' processes is a problem, this can be remedied by analyzing and fixing the configuration.

That's weird. I have several scripts on OS X Lion and Snow Leopard that use echo -n successfully.

comment Problem with upgrading OpenSSH to the latest version
As @quanta said, /usr/local/bin/ssh isn't the server, it's the client. You will want to look for /usr/local/bin/sshd (or similar). That will be the server.

comment Nginx running on Debian lenny, how to add SSL?
Sorry, I wasn't paying attention. When you did sudo passenger-install-nginx-module, by default it will download a source version of nginx and compile it. You will need to redo this, but select option 2 (the advanced option) to pass the --with-http_ssl_module directive to nginx's configure script. For this you will need to download the source for nginx yourself from nginx.org/en/download.html.

Odd, just looked up the package at packages.debian.org/lenny/nginx and it depends on libssl, so the SSL module should be there, can you post the results of your nginx -V? Also, since lenny is on 0.6.32 of nginx, you would have to remove the default_server ssl directive as that is just for >=0.7.14. Instead, set ssl on; in your server {} block.

comment nginx is slow in parsing php with html content
You should run with request_slowlog_timeout and slowlog set in your php-fpm config to see where your slowdown is. Looks like your are mostly running with default values.
