comment What is the correct way to loop in a Chef (solo) recipe?
Thanks, this clarifies things quite a bit. The user creation recipe was just an example that I could play with to better understand why the loops that I had elsewhere did not work as I expected.

That seems so simple, thanks! The creating users recipe was just an example I was using to get my head around why my loop wasn't working in other recipes. Thanks again!

Will I have to know all of the client IPs in advance for this to work? I will not know what the client machine IP addresses are, because developers will be able to connect from home as well as in the office.

Thanks for the response, I will look into those. We have developers on OSX, different linux distros as well as... ahem... windows. I'm not too concerned about supporting windows, though.

I have wsgi working on IIS already, but it only works when I hit a python script from the URL... I don't know how to configure IIS to have a WSGIScriptAlias like mod_wsgi for Apache.
