@Stefan Lasiewski - Thanks so much for your response. This added context is super helpful and now I understand a lot more about what I'm working with.

@Lenniey - No, that option was not editable, the only thing in the options that was editable was the static/DHCP option.

@Lenniey - This is from Supermicro board: X8DTT-F. I also added this information to the question, I should have included that originally.

comment Centos 7 - back up and restore to “clean” state
Don't be sorry! Its a relief to know I've been approaching it wrong, been getting that feeling :) Dumb question: Is Ansible free, they just try to upsell you on the nice GUI and support? This is just for 15 machines in my basement so money is an issue...

comment Can only some machines on a network have a public IP addresses?
All my equipment should be fine. I was thinking like if there was a relay along the way between my equipment and a website user that had an issue. Is this not a valid concern?

I apologize, another question: whats the deal with IPV6 these days? I was under the impression there was still some compatibility issues with old hardware around the net?

Thanks so much for your help. I have a really dumb question: How does the load balancer know which NIC to use depending on if its receiving requests from the internet or forwarding those requests to the other servers in the network? Is it in configuration somewhere?
