I've been developing software for over 10 years using C++, Java and Python. I love learning new technologies and mentoring new developers. Since I liked mentoring so much I started a blog to help other mentors understand their students Journeyman Developer. Currently, I'm into Ruby, Rails, JQuery and CSS. You can find my latest venture at Thanks for Dining.

I also love woodworking. It's nice to have a tangible product at the end of a long work day. I blog about my woodworking activities here Woodworker++.

@womble - You're right. I did recommend something that Salim expressly said he did not want. I will edit my answer to reflect that.

One of the machines contains the actual user data. The other machines would mount /home via a network share of some sort.

@tomjedrz Thanks for the answer. This is what I had planned on implementing, but I wanted to check with the community to see if I had missed something.
