@Mike, it is W2k8 and yes, I have to do the files individual which is a lot more work than I was expecting. With the UNC, the app had control and the user could not touch it. Is there a way to map a drive programatically and remove it when we are done?

@Mike, mapping a UNC is a mapped drive. That is what we are doing. The problem with security is that our application authenticates who should see which files. When we map the drive, everbody with access to the machine has access to the share (and all the files).
