comment WordPress multi site .htaccess does not work with ip address and tilde URL
Thanks for your help. I can now access WP on my new server without being redirected to the old domain. Doing so, I realized that I was actually being redirected to 127.0.01/wp-admin and shown the Apache 404 page (and not being redirected to 127.0.0.1/~username/). However, I definitely say Apache's rewrite module installed and active in WHM... Can you think of another reason why I might be being server the 404 error document?

comment Apache redirect to another domain all URLs, except for ones starting with substring
Thanks for your answer. The problem is that both subdomains have the same document root. Is there any way I could prevent infinite redirection for the example.com?

comment Create multiple subdomains for the same directory
Thanks for your answer. I've already done that, but now all my URLs are duplicated, I would only like to duplicate the ones starting with /files. All the others should redirect to the main domain. The answer here serverfault.com/questions/314840/… helped me, but I think I should add another condition to prevent infinite redirection for the main domain.

comment Access http via IP on newly purchased server
Thanks for your reply, Glenn. Actually I was already able to access the server I just didn't know I had access. I was shown a default index.html page that told me to add and setup my domain. The content of that page confused me, because I knew I did that. Now I'm embarrassed...
