I've been using Start, Run, mstsc /w:2560 /h:1024 /v:"server" for a while now. It's one large desktop, but worth it if you need the space. I didn't know about the /span option until now.

I think the person who told me this was talking about the thin layer of aluminum or polycarbonate where the information gets recorded. More specifically I think the reference was to a CD-RW and how the recordable material (some metal alloy) is changed by the laser. I guess I meant the parts of the media that get changed, I know there is no mass transfer, not even with LightScribe. Like you guys said, I think it's so minor that it can be disregarded. He was pulling my leg.
