comment Why use Apache in front of another web server?
Well I'm just wondering if there would be any benefit to that. I understand that most Ruby web applications use a Mongrel cluster of about 9 Mongrel instances for various reasons; would that apply with Jetty (Java) as well? At this point I'm just using a web server and a database server, no application server, because I won't need it (not enough load).

Another question, then: If I were to do this with, say, a Java server behind Apache, would I use multiple instances? Thanks.

Yes, Akismet is great. I've never tried it on a forum but it works great on blogs. (Although I imagine nothing should be different.)

comment What is a good django admin-like tool for postgres?
Yeah I've definitely seen the Django admin interface in screenshots and such, but I've never used it myself. But yes, pgAdmin does take some getting used to, especially if (like me) you're coming from a different database that does things differently. I just don't know of anything that's more like the Django interface.
